Services provide enrichment programs and homework help for student's
who are struggling. in the evenings and weekends. Most times the tutor
can begin immediately however, we encourage parents and students to plan
ahead at least one week before they want to start their tutoring program.
It can be difficult to find the right tutor on short notice. Our services
are geared to students that are seeking a long term solution to enhancing
their education. Tutoring is much more effective if provided on a regular
basis. Very seldom will we refer a professional tutor on short notice to
help students prepare for a test or exam. Traditionally we do not accept
clients that are interested in short term services. It usually takes time
for the tutor to develop a relationship with the student client in order
to deliver an effective program. Most parents are required to make a commitment
of at least three months. Most of our programs are geared towards exam
preparation and helping students overcome learning barriers. Our summer
programs are especially effective for the younger children who are significantly
behind allowing them ample time to make improvements. Students can frequently
make great academic improvements within two or three months of tutoring
services. Results usually depend on the student's abilities, the number
of tutorials each week, and their level of commitment to the program. Most
students on average benefit from one or two lessons per week but often
parents request three or four sessions weekly to ensure their child achieves
academic success.
